PS. i know some of you buy low and sell high BUT now that a lot of greens arnt here anymore or at least they harder to get (BP is aoe).

PS. yes i know u can still buy low sell high golds and other items but i wanna know how u farm to make money

Trapping works on pretty much anything so long as you can pull well. The new AI makes it a lot easier because they will follow you to the ends of the earth instead of reaching the end of their patrol zone and giving up. B/P still works fantastically well in tombs because it relies on bottlenecks and a more or less constant pull from the minions drawing the aggro back. Dervishes are the farming kings. If you have the right build there is very little you can't dominate. Buy low. Sell high. Materials are always a good way to go. Parchment is a consistent money maker because wood comes popping out of everything these days. You can sell stacks of partchment for an average of 60% profit if you craft it from wood. Rubies and Sapphires are good right now but you better hit that market up while it lasts. Rare skins always sell. Rare skins are your biggest one shot money makers. If you get the right skin with the right mods you're set for a good long time. Focus on the meta game for money making. It's not enough to know that a method no longer works. You need to exploit the AI. Even this new and improved AI boils down to nothing more than if/then statements. If you learn them then you know how the enemies will react and you can exploit that behavior. Solo farming has become a little more difficult but not impossible. Your best bet is to farm with a group with varied skill sets. The new chicken reaction of some enemies can be countered with snares. Toss in degen on top of AoE damage and you can take them out before they can scatter.

My friend said that a 55/Smiter should work (Retribution+Holy Wrath) but I'm not sure. You can still farm spiders in FoW, but it seems the prices of shards is dropping.

Spiritbonder/Smiter works, you just have to be careful about how many mobs you take on at once.

Even so, it goes only slightly slower than it used to, and it used to be comparable if not a bit faster than SS.

Default Broke? What?!

lol as i see im extraordinary again.... im the kind of person that NEVER has money, but i couldn't possibly consider myself broke... i have all the money i need at the moment if i need to buy something, and if i have more, i just spend it for fun on not needed armor sets, dyes or what ever.... i never bought a single weapon but i keep buying 2 15k sets per char, so that i buy one part at a time - means it takes me averagely 2 months to complete the sets.... my money reserves are max 10k (and if its 10 im happy to spend it right away) but i could never consider myself poor... i always find the money for what i need and if i dont need anything, i just spend my reserves...

I make money just with simply going through the game, i used to solo with my rit one time period but i found it absolutely worthless, because the loads of money i got from it, went to toatl bullshit... We also used to farm in uw in 2 rangers team, but noot realy for money, we did it just to have a place to talk with my friend and the ectos were just a bonus (pleasant, isn't it? )... AND I sell my drops to Merchants and Traders ( IMHO the most nerfing thing that can be is to stand two hours in an outpost and shout: " WTS xxx !!!! " - that can realy spoil it all)

Just enjoy the game, talk during missions with people, enjoy sceneries, have fun, money is only a side product of the game...
Money comes naturally in the drops....

In most of the cases you don't need it.

Buy skills that you need at the moment, you'll finish with most of them anyway, but you WON'T BE BROKE, if you spend less than you earn ... play whole day, buy 5 skills per day and in 160 days you have them all, which is half a year so you finish buying your skills right before the release of the new chapter:P

Buy 1,5k armor, buy 15k luxury, but don't complain you're broke....

I make plenty of cash salvaging the new P and Derv runes as well as the Insignias. Sold a few to players but mostly sell to the trader.

Also, turning in "Trading Contracts" for Rubys and Saphiers and then selling is a good way to make a quick 10k at the trader.

Just playing through NF nets me close to 10k a day: between merching items from kills, quest rewards, and mission rewards. Not to mention all the stuff I keep for one reason or another. This is only playing for a few hours btw.

If I need to a specific amount of gold, I have a farming run that I can still do that nets me 10k+ every time. Just takes a little longer now. *sigh* That's ok, more challanging = more fun.

I am almost certain some of people who buy ebayed gold are people who are frustrated with not being able to make money in conjunction with playing the game. Now they are able to play the game the way they wanted. This includes getting 1.5k armor, better looking weapons, and most if not all the skills they want.

a good way to make money is to play through the game and make sure you have 3 keys on you at all times. Keep opening chests as you go along, you will come out on top in the end with a whole crapload of perfect mods you can sell for big bucks.

So, none of your characters had any armour at all? This is a want (new looking armour), not a need. A luxury.

For characters, yes. But collector weapons exist, are cheap. Max mods for most aren't expensive anymore. Heroes? Laughable. I finished the campaign with my heroes using what I picked up off mob drops along the way. Koss still had a starter sword going into Vabbi.

Cheap, and with intelligent use of Kournan coins and the like, free.

Buy high requirement weapons. You will rarely, if ever, run a weapon mastery on a warrior or assassin below req 13, and casters don't need weapons that match their stats, as wand/staff damage is laughable. Either that, or again, use collector weapons.

Everyone wants these. The one who wastes his money on them cannot complain, after all, they are completely unnecessary. Most dye is also dirt cheap, unless you have to look cool in black/white armour.

You said yourself, farming is mostly dead. The amount of specialised armour you need is even lower than it was. And still, a 55 monk set costs under 15k complete.

Which ~400 skills are worthless in both PvE and PvP? I think a list would be helpful for people starting out or having problems with money.
